Parker 425

1/29 - 3-Wide Triple Threat at BITD Parker 425

“Pistol” Pete Sohren has been a character charged personality of the off road motorsport industry for over a decade. For more reasons than many will ever know, Pistol enjoys a large following of fans and is often considered a favorite to win at any race he enters due to the all or nothing driving style. His fellow Trophy Truck peers deem Pete a highly skilled driver and respect him for the many personal sacrifices arranged just to make it to the race.

The opening event for the Best In The Desert Series has been a favorite among Trophy Truck Drivers and sets the mood for the rest of the season. The terrain is usually wet and wild. The Course is fast and unforgiving. Pistol Pete Sohren has been itching to enter and as of late really shown his skills and resilliance. On the January 27th edition of Totally Off Road Radio it was announced that Pistol would be handing over the famous center driven #2 Three-Seater Trophy Truck for only the third time ever to another driver.

Jason McNeil, young gun driver of FiberwerX Racing’s #50 Trophy Truck (the only other 3-seater truck in the division) will be taking the wheel of Pete’s notoriously “Phast” Ford for the second half of the BITD Parker Race. Not only will Jason bring the truck to the finish line, he will act as co-pilot during Qualifying and is scheduled to ride passenger during the first half of the race as well. Fellow Trophy Truck driver Cameron Steele will co-dawg as well, filling out the third seat and making this one interesting cockpit.

What gives you ask? “Well,” Pistol explained "I see a lot of me in Jason and I want to give him the chance no one ever gave me." Jason and the FiberwerX Team did not have the BITD Race on the schedule and are currently preparing the #50TT for the next event. During the recent SCORE Laughlin Desert Challenge, Jason showed up hot for the race and qualified in an impressive 6th place with minimal seat time. Pete, however stole the show and qualified 3rd. Jason’s luck ran out on the first day when an upper control arm folded and ended the effort for the weekend.

The strategy for Parker is to qualify well, and from there, “Go all out for the WIN”. With the truck holding together and with Jason riding the first half gaining knowledge of the course and the truck he should have no problem bring it home in top finishing order. Pete continued jokingly, “He's destroyed a Class 8 and Trophy Truck in his last 2 races so I hope he has some skills left that I keep hearing about."

"I am very excited with the chance to get to drive the #2 TT for the 2nd Half of the race.” Jason beamed with excitement. “I would like to thank Pistol for this tremendous opportunity. I have always thought of him as one of the top drivers in the sport just without budget of these big teams" "I feel like Pistol Pete is a lot like me in the fact that we make so many sacrifices to make these races. We have similar driving styles and we work every day on our own trucks because we do not have the same fortune as our competitors. For both of us, our lives nearly revolve around this sport. I am looking forward to showing what I can do and to do a good job for Pete"

FiberwerX Nissan Frontier

12/11 - FiberwerX Releases 1st Edition Fuzion System

Nissan enthusiasts are the fuel behind this project. A handful of Nissan truck owners got together and informed the FiberwerX Design Team for the need of off road panels on certain model platforms. This small group spear headed the plan and reached out to fellow Nissan fans through various social networking websites to collaborate on the general style and direction of the desired body panels.

The Nissan Truck community spoke up and FiberwerX is proud to release the new Fuzion Line of FiberwerX Conversion Products. Fuzion communicates several definitions, but each meaning shares a common description, The merging of different elements into a seamless union.

This first edition in the FiberwerX Fuzion Family is built around the 2005 Frontier, this is a 85” wide 3-piece conversion kit that translates sleek lines into the 2009 Nissan Titan. This new front end offers great visibility and carries a unique style you will not find anywhere else. The Fuzion is seamless and this new front end looks wild, clean, and custom!

To finish off the rear of the Frontier we have developed a complementing TT Bedside system that features 6” Flares and enlarged wheel well openings. These panels are available as a standard bed length and the crew cab bedsides will soon be available.

For those that prefer the Frontier nose versus the Titan, we will soon release front fenders sporting a 3.5’ mild flare and no conversion.

08/25 - New Product 04-08 to 09 F150 Conversion Clip

This project was commissioned by Craig Stewart to offer a new look to the world famous Stewart’s Raceworks built TT Prerunners. Although this particular vehicle may share similar features and design, it was built in Ensenada and brought back to Santee for Raceworks to button up the build and for quality finish work.

FiberwerX was brought in to create a stylish 2009 look that would flow with the Racework’s fashion and appeal. Our man Hawaii, worked on site at Craig’s facility during the prototyping phase to achieve the quality and satisfaction that these high level builds demand.

This new 1-Piece Clip is for Trophy Trucks and Prerunners as it relocates the front 09 grill and lights from the stock location. The Track width is measured at 90”

For more street worthy vehicles, FiberwerX is currently working with Rize Industries to develop a 2009 F-150 1-piece that will retain stock location of the grill and lights as well as the more traditional set of flared fenders.

FiberwerX does offer custom modifications such as louvers, scoops, cowls and we are open to your suggestions to customize based on your project and needs.

06/19 - 2009 FiberwerX 6-Piece Trophy Kart Body

FiberwerX has recently completed a new generation Trophy Kart Body. The panel configuration is designed to fit most “mini” carts including all Trophy Kart platforms specifically the Trophy Kart Elite / Modified, JR-1, and JR-2 Chassis’.

The hand shaped body was carved out of foam and was a collaborative design effort from several notable parties. FiberwerX listened to the Trophy Kart racers and prep crews to recognize the common problems and issues they were facing. After several consultations we had identified a clear and evident objective to work towards.

Visually, we have recreated the Trophy Kart’s appearance by integrating the tasteful style and flare that FiberwerX is renowned for. Click Here to view the whole gallery.

Function, was our primary concern on this project. It was very apparent from the get-go that most everyone was over the 1-piece skins that have been the standard since day one. We have addressed this issue with a true 6 piece panel configuration.

• The roof piece features two rigid slots that flow front to back right into a rear overhang to mount a row of LED brake and amber lights.

• The front nose is a sharp looking “1-piece” style panel that will provide easy visibility over the nose. This will overlap the side skins, creating clean and near seamless body lines.

• The side panels feature a dropped in type of gill that is closely similar to what is seen on the FiberwerX Trophy Truck Body. It also doubles as a step for your little ones. The body skin will overlap the roof panel to achieve the cleanest possible finish possible.

• The FiberwerX Trophy Kart bedsides continue all body lines and contours to finish off the body in common FiberwerX style.

• Easily modifiable to adapt to your existing configuration, we designed and constructed the Trophy Kart Body to mount in the same fashion as you are accustom to.

We supplied our first prototype to Kal-Gard’s Trenton Briley. His team was stoked and were noted to say “It is exactly what we asked for! Lighten it up a bit and it will be perfect. You guys nailed it right out of the box.”

We promise fit, finish, and quality with the affordable option to purchase individual pieces at a just a margin of the cost that a full 1-piece body would cost. The FiberwerX Trophy Kart body is available in black gel coat upon request. The final product is solid and guaranteed to fit with proper installation. We recommend and specify using high quality fasteners, stainless steel hardware, and machined fender washers.

For more information contact FiberwerX directly. We are entertaining custom projects, modifications, request, and 1-OFF requirements.

02/02 - FiberwerX New US Headquarters

The arrival of a new year brings new beginnings. New beginnings deserve clean slates and fresh starts.

A fresh start is precisely what FiberwerX has fashioned for 2009. Jason McNeil has recently opened the doors to the new FiberwerX USA Operation Center. The new FiberwerX Headquarters is much more centrally located and allows for easy freeway access located in Airport Plaza right near Gillespie Field at 8400 N. Magnolia Ave. Suite H, in Santee, California 92071.

Jason explained, Our new facility is something like 400% larger than what we were working with before. We have plenty of work space to maintain all of our dedicated team trucks, build new projects, and assist customers with their project vehicles. Staying organized and prepared for the next event has always been a major focus, and with this new layout it will be much easier to stay on top of things and operate at a competitive level.

The bigger shop allows for additional storage and you can count on more of our popular body panels, dashes, and 1piece clips stocked in inventory when you stop by. Expanding our product line with exclusive and unique designs is something that we continue to strive towards. With the help of Jon Tripp and a new design center, we have recently added 04 and newer Ford F-150 Trophy Style Front Fenders, 05 Toyota Tacoma 1-Piece System and Short & Regular Bed Trophy Style Bedsides, and an all new special Trophy Kart FiberwerX Trophy Body.

FX Fabrication has steadily grown with the FiberwerX Organization. Our reputation as the Ranger and Ford Performance Specialist is well noted and with the expertise of JuanCO, we are able to offer customers a wide variety of answers and solutions to your offroad performance needs. We recently debuted an impressive turnkey class 8 F-150 project along with a complete support vehicle package to a new client. The signature FX-Ranger Prerunners are now available as a turnkey opportunity and we have began a production line of highly desired parts and components such as laser cut FX-Trailing Arms, Sway Bar Kits, and an assortment of machined pieces.

You can expect a comfortable reception area where cold energy drinks and offroad DVDs will be on hand for the customers enjoyment. We have incorporated a small retail center where certain items like head light decals, hardware, fasteners, hood pins, and other related items to your purchase may be added on. FiberwerX is also offering a line-up of FiberwerX branded soft goods such as t-shirts and fitted hats, and stickers. We are proud to continue to offer great prices on Toyo Tires, KMC & ATX Wheels, Fox Shoxs, Light Force Lights, and DJ Safety Equipment.

FiberwerX is thrilled to start off the New Year like this and we want to share our success and celebrate by inviting the offroad community to an open house party taking place in the upcoming months. We have also planned for a street taco BB-Q, an assortment of offroad vehicles on display, along with a selection of vendors will be on hand to participate during the party.

11/07 - FiberwerX Baja 1000 Race Report

The Race plan was to set a conservative pace, and stay out of trouble with out giving up any positions or time to the competition behind.

Start / Finish
Pulled off the line in 18th position at approximately 10:48am Saturday morning. The 1st 140 mile consisted of a technical mix of windy trails and tight corners. The typical Baja Scenario began to unfold, dodging a variety of obstacles like giant boulders, water crossings, spectators, and locally created obstructions.

RM-15
Somehow Pfluger and the Vanderway Trophy Trucks both got hung up and stuck in a ditch. The #4 Truck of Tavo Vildosola was on hand and had them both out clearing the jam in less then 5 minutes. They both took off once freed from the tow straps and before Tavo’s co-driver could get back in. Jason McNeil unable to find a way through the holdup, waited for his turn. Close racing in the thick dust kicked up by Vildosola who was fighting to lead the battle, Jason charged hard into a corner and saw a rock bed hiding on the inside, but it was to late. The truck slammed into the sharp edge of rocks with the passenger side rear blowing out and the front tire went low shortly after.

RM-40
The FiberwerX Inland Chase Crew was on hand for a visual at a high-speed left hand corner. Jason McNeil maneuvered through the corner with precision, carrying his speed as fast or faster than any of the other competitors. The spectators went absolutely wild and it was evident who they thought was the crowd favorite at the point.

RM-60
On both occasions the tires were changed out by the co-driver Brandon McNeil and 3rd passenger /on board mechanic JuanCO while Jason remained in the truck to focus on calming down. Back to back flats with in 10 miles and no spare tires in the area for the next 85 miles demanded smart & cautious driving. That pace did not impede overtaking the Zorro trophy Truck before entering the “La Rumorosa Trail” Finding a quick little groove the FiberwerX Race Effort began to chase down the traffic that managed around the #50 Truck while they were down and make back time. Making a flawless run down the mountain, Jason entered the desert floor and floored it aiming for clean air and an open line which was not easy due to thick dust trails, and 4 way trophy truck battle between FiberwerX, Vildosola, Vanderway, and rookie Jim Bult.

RM-130 Pit#1
Before entering Laguna Salada Alex Almaraz, FiberwerX Trophy Truck Prep Captain John Tripp A.K.A Hawaii, and Simon from Shock Pros were scheduled to assume driver and co-driver duties at the 1st pit stop. Two new volunteers out of sequence made for a les then ideal stop, but after the driver change, 60 gallons of fuel and two fresh spare tires the truck was back on the move. This was Alex’s 2nd time behind the wheel of the #50TT and he brought the truck up to speed with no hesitation powering down to take on the opposition. Almaraz is quite familiar with this particular stretch of the Baja Desert and at RM-145 had no problem creating an open line and closing the gap on the competition that raced out in front of him. On the lake bed at RM-150 Alex caught up to Pat Dean and continued down course and soon over took Vanderway and nerfed up on Jim Bult to let him know who was behind. The race had begun its toll on the field passing by Letner who was down near the course. The crew noticed a scent of what was thought to be smoked gear oil but all things were functioning properly so they pushed forward with little concern. Alex holding it wide open came up the #16 TT of Cameron Steel and the Desert Assassins near RM-200. The Driver waived the FiberwerX Truck to a stop ran up and requested a fire extinguisher. Alex Almaraz pointed him to canisters mounted on the back of the truck which he quickly grabbed. Less then 10 seconds after rolling to a stop the FiberwerX TT took off. The FiberwerX #50 passed by one of the T-Force Trucks who was down fixing a flat BFG.

RM-230
Speeding off the Lake Bed, Alex got sideways ripping through a rocky corner and hit a big rock with the right rear. The whole truck was jarred hard back to the left. The impact destroyed a Walker Evans Beadlock wheel and also took out the brake rotor. Shock Pros Simon noticed that while swapping out the damaged wheel the bolt pattern of the new replacement was not lining up. Somehow at the 1st pit stop, one of the new volunteers loaded the spare from an Almaraz Racecraft customer’s 7 truck race effort that was utilizing that particular crew. Apparently the 7 truck was also using a 37” Toyo and 17” Walker Evans Wheel combo. Looking past the mistake Hawaii quickly grabbed the good spare while Simon loaded the destroyed wheel & Toyo which was still solid and the 1 wheel that did not line up. Again, we were out of good spare tires for another 50 miles.

RM-275
Approaching the 2nd pit stop at RM-280 a rock was kicked up damaging the shifting linkage and locking the truck into 1st gear. Almaraz made his way into pit lane communicating with the FiberwerX chase crew who had just arrived and was mobilizing a temporary pit site. Several exchanges on the radio pinpointed where to find the pit when the Mastercraft Trophy Truck decided there was not enough room to safely get by in the 3 lane track and blasted the #50 TT from behind. It was just passed dusk and the wall of HID Lights informed FiberwerX’s drivers of the traffic coming behind so Alex attempted to pull to the side and clear the way. We were not racing just looking for the pit.

RM-280 Pit#2
FiberwerX Racing operates with a skeleton crew compared to most of the other Trophy Truck Teams. The chase crews strategy was all business and to skip the start/finish festivities, heading directly to a visual in Ojos Negros near RM-40. From there the crew headed down towards Checkpoint 2 but not before stopping for lunch in Valle De Trinadad. Timing was perfect and had just allowed for the FiberwerX Chase Team to negotiate with another crew to use their pit lane, make friends with the neighbors, and set up all the gear and equipment. We had just set up the light stand, fired up the generator, rolled out the welder, laid out the pit boxes, and organized a table full of tools when the #50 truck arrived. With no rear brakes the truck rolled all of the way through the pit lane so out of nowhere it seemed like a dozen pair of hands jumped in and pushed the truck back into the pit setup.

The team went into action:
• Repaired the Shifting Linkage.
• Repair and Welded front Limit Strap tabs.
• Plugged rear brake lines with hammer.
• Rear differential skid plate was ripped off and Hawaii tightened up the 3rd member bolts.
• Installed extra front Light Bumper equipped with two LightForce XGTs and Amber Filters.
• Dumped another 60 gallons of fuel
• 2 new spares replaced the busted wheel and 7-truck wheel.

The pit stop was pretty makeshift but we were able to work with what we had available. When all was said and done, we were down about 45 minutes when Alex Almaraz, Hawaii and Simon continued out towards Checkpoint 3 near San Felipe. This part of the course was thick with dust, a blanket of fog, and even more dust. Racing with caution the FiberwerX Truck encountered many Quad & Motorcycle Racers.

RM-375
Zoo Road made for a fast pace of nearly 100mph pounding of upstream whooped out straight-aways. Nearing RM-380, the #50TT soaked a couple of consecutive hard slams, stalled out and rolled to a stop. Hawaii switched over fromthe #1 MSD Ignition Box to the #2 MSD Back up and continued on.

RM-390
Getting back on pace, Hawaii sitting in the 3rd middle Mastercraft 3G when he notices the passenger side Amber Light was getting hotter & brighter. Alerted to the situation out of the ordinary, Hawaii realizes that they are on fire and warns the rest of the crew. Almaraz slams the brakes and brings the truck to a stop. All 3 Driver quickly removed the DJ Safety 5-point Harness & Custom Window Nets and exited the vehicle in record time. The fire had engulfed the most of the rear section and was on its way to consuming the entire vehicle. The fuel cell, fuel lines, and primary & secondary fuel pumps were all compromised and in danger of going from bad to worse. Already down one extinguisher that was donated to the DA-Cause, and the other was directly in the flames on the passenger side. Alex dove back inside to kill the master switch to cut the power to the fuel pumps and grabbed the extinguisher mounted inside while Simon and Hawaii were tossing loads of sand. Hawaii fought through the flames and grabbed the last extinguisher mounted on the rear of the truck when several spectators came running through the desert in the middle of nowhere. They helped with more sand tossing and flagged down any race traffic coming their way (no amber light and stopped in the middle of the course). They finally put down the flames and according to the spectators “OH MAN! You should have seen it! There must have been a 15’ ft. flame for what seemed like a mile before you stopped.”

The Damage:
• Rear passenger Limit Strap were burnt through (nothing left except top & bottom mounts & charred remains)
• GPS Antenna looked like a marshmallow.
• Spot Tracker looked like Bear Grills BB-Q a huge beetle (still blinking green).
• Right side tranny cooler fan now resembled a spider web.
• Paint was bubbled up and a host of toasted and smoking components was all the problems that could be identified.

The Cause:
Apparently the sway bar torsion sheared leaving sway bar linkage on a violent thrashing fit as the rear suspension cycled up and down. The right side linkage slapped on a fuel pump fitting just right to loosen and let raw fuel spew out. Soon after, we were blazing out about a 100mph.

The Fix:
• Unbolted and tossed all sway bar components from either side.
• Zip tied various lines into place and out of harms way.
• Turned power back on and inspected the fuel system and lines for any leaks or other problems.

Everything appeared to be in order and the FiberwerX Crew talked about what had just happened and went back to the race. Looking forward and forgetting the days problems so far, Alex powered down the throttle and ran fast and flawless all the way to RM-420 where Team FiberwerX Was positioned for the next pit stop and driver change.

RM-420 Pit#3
After the last “dismadre” of a pit FiberwerX Crew was setup and ready for action. The #50TT was guided in by a series of reflective cones glow sticks and a nice warm trackside fire. We had set up a banner but it looks like some of the competition thought it was extra points as it was lying on the ground covered in dirt and tire tracks. The stop was well-executed by all team members.

• 60 gallons of fuel
• Rear drive tires were swapped out for fresh meats
• Jason resumed driver duties and FiberwerX Drivers T.K. McNeil & Randy Blooth from the #34TT (not SCORE TT) took over Co-Driving.

The 3rd pit stop took just under 5 minutes. Crew Chief JuanCo opted to inform Jason over the radio about the fire damage, no sway bar, and no rear brakes and give him a little pep talk. “Make it happen J, we should be pretty solid, despite the fire & sway bar. Everything is still in working order.”

RM-450
The #50TT’s transmission began acting up and the 1st gear would not engage till the vehicle was slowed way down and had no reverse. Jason consulted with JuanCo over the radio. JuanCo stated “50/50 chance you can keep going or we could jam out and meet up to swap out transmission. Your call…” Jason pushed forward.

RM-475
Transmission woes were quickly becoming more apparent. We had a planned visual with pit crew on standby at RM-490. While slowly limping at 20mph and the transmission badly slipping, Damien Jefferies, Bobby Baldwin, and a T-Force Truck all passed by.

RM-490 Pit#4
Another Almaraz Racecraft Crew waved the #50TT down and the truck pulled in. Jason and Randy both got out to start preparing for a transmission swap. T.K. fumbled with the shifter linkage making some significant adjustments, then checked the transmission fluid level and added a quart topping it off. They tried it out and everything seemed to work perfectly. Jason radioed back to JuanCO everything was good and directed him to stick to the plan to be at the next visual outside of Ojos Negros.

RM-510
Out on the coast, a heavy fog that resembled rain forced slowing the pace down to 10 mph and helmet visors up. Jason turned the top light rack off only running the front bumper Light Force XGTs only.

Rm-550 Pit#5
Almaraz Racecraft crew was again in position and setup for a splash of gas. Jason quickly resumed the race and entered a very tight and technical course yet again driving cautiously due to no sway bar, no rear brakes, and no reverse.

RM-570
Cruising at about 25 mph around a tight sandy left hand corner, the front tire drifts off course. Jason stops the momentum to avoid continuing down the drop off on the outside of the corner. All 3 FiberwerX Pilots got out and with the help of local spectators attempted to push it back on course. With no reverse the weight of the vehicle was just to much to move without power. Luckily another T-Force Truck came by and hooked up to pull them back. Back on the move and cresting a very silty hill, the #50TT slammed into a ravine just on the other side of the peak. Not wanting to get stuck Jason worked the throttle and pushed the nose of the truck right through. The bottom half of the bumper sheared off but amazingly the LightForce XGTs were intact and working perfectly.

Rm-610
Entering a tight right hand corner which followed the edge of a steep cliff side Jason dodged a big rock hiding on the inside and swerved back to continue around the sharp corner. With no sway bar the entire right side of the truck lifted up sending the #50TT into a bicycle maneuver. Jason tried to keep the truck on two wheels going around the corner but he knew it was too sharp and steered out left to avoid rolling over and possibly downhill. McNeil pointed the nose off the cliff and down the steep hill pulling the wheel at an angle. Mashing the throttle and whipping the nose back around and uphill, Jason struggled to get the truck back up on course. Lots of RPMs and several yards of debris and a powerful rooster tail later Jason made it but the #50TT was high centered on the very edge of the track. Jason got on the radio and had the Racecraft Coast Crew from the 5th Pit stop jam out and pull them back on course. The FiberwerX Crew had its fair share of close calls and Jason was in reserve mode and just wanted to make it to the finish. Avoiding the last few booby traps rolling into town was no sweat. Jason McNeil brought the #50 FiberwerX Trophy Truck into the Ensenada SOCRE Start/Finish at approximately 4:15 a.m.

Official Total Race Time: 17:08:34
Official Finish Position: 11th Trophy Truck out of 26 starters

07/21 - TT#50 CODE Jacume Race Report

Over the weekend Jason McNeil proved he has what it takes to pilot a 750 HP unlimited vehicle. Racing around a very tight and technical course at the 2008 CODE Jacume ORW 120 that is better suited for a 10 car or 1600 buggy, Jason performed lap after lap with finesse and natural talent. Reaching speeds of 118 mph and going bigger then every other competitor, the spectators and crowds were thrilled as the #50 TT flew by.

The FiberwerX Team worked hard to secure as much seat time & experience in the new race truck, however business always has taken precedence over racing. We showed up late Friday night, to late to prerun. Jason was forced to start this event with no prerun, no GPS map, and maybe two hours of seat time in the #50 FiberwerX Trophy Truck.

Starting 5th off the line due to an inverted drawing order we were chasing down cars right from the start. The Oroway TT was passed at MM#4. Another dust trail was soon visible as the truck was coming up on the Affordable Rain Gutters Class 1 Car. Before we could overtake the next car the #50TT stalled out. Jason was able to fire the truck up and keep moving, but the electrical gremlin plagued the #50TT all of lap 1 and the truck kept stalling out at least 4x. Jason and co driver Nick Kraus were able to determine it was an ignition problem and relayed the scenario back to the team mechanic JuanCO.

When the truck arrived in the pit JuanCO quickly diagnosed the problem & corrected the issue. The #50 was down about 25 minutes at this point and was out of contention for a Heat 1 Victory. Jason pushed himself and the truck as they flew through laps two and three. By the end of the final lap the FiberwerX 50 passed the Class 1 Racing Car and then the Affordable Rain Gutters Class 1 Car placing 3rd in Heat 1 out of 7 entries.

Between the two heat races, Team FiberwerX was lucky enough to visit "Big Jim's" Jacume Ranchero up in the hills above the local town. Nothing beats a swimming pool, BBQ, and ice cold Cerveza's on race day when it is 95 degrees out. BIG THANKS to Jim!

After the refreshing break, Heat #2 started right on time like clock work as usual with any CODE Event. Jason started 1st , we were scheduled to start 2nd but the 1st heat took out the 1 car in front of us. The clean air allowed the #50 to stretch its legs and let the Ford's ponies loose. Jason nailed lap after lap averaging 25 minutes lap times around the 21.5 mile course. 118 mph was the top speed reached in a fast 3-mile straightaway out in the west section of the course. Setting the fastest lap time of the day and finishing 1st overall in Heat #2, Jason was pumped after crossing the finish line. "We finished this 2nd race in 1 hour and 15 minutes, two minutes ahead of the next fastest time. I feel really good and my new truck held together great. I cannot wait to get the FiberwerX #50 Trophy Truck 100% dialed in so we can show everyone what we are about at the SCORE Primm Race."

The FiberwerX Crew is made up of friends and family and without their dedicated support we could not enjoy success or the excitement of offroad racing.

FiberwerX Racing is a professional offroad race team that competes in SCORE, BITD, CODE, and MDR. The FiberwerX #50 Trophy Truck is sponsored by Toyo Tires, Fox Racing Shox, LightForce, DJ Safety, TORCO Race Fuels, ATX Wheels, Spy Optics, Rockstar Energy, JuanCO Performance Engineering, and Bink Designs. We are extremely grateful to all our FiberwerX Team Partners for their support and contribution. It is truly a team effeort.

07/21 - New 2004-2008 F150 Products

After several inquiries, a bit of market research, and a lot of feedback from industry professionals, FiberwerX identified the need for more body panel options that are designed for 2004 F-150 and newer.

FiberwerX has added these new items to our product line:

New 2004 (and newer) F-150 Products

- 1-Piece Clip: Large mini fenders utilize two latches for each side and create a seamless union to the truck cab matching all body contours. Large 7” flares and a 88” Track width permit oversized tires to easily cycle maximum travel. FiberwerX extreme styling & design will transform your mild looking prerunner or street truck into a clean offroad beast.

- 6” Flared Front Fenders: Similar look and feel to the 1-piece styling except designed for those that prefer a regular fender system. The fenders are currently under construction and not quite done.

- 6” Flared Bedsides – Mid size (Regular 6.5’) bed: Retaining the FiberwerX signature styling we dressed these flared bedsides up to closely resemble the hard lines of this model F-150 while adding enough flare to accept monster 37” offroad tires.

Check here for more info & pictures.

06/26 - FiberwerX TT Body Released

FiberwerX has recently completed a new generation Trophy Truck Body. The panel configuration is designed to fit most Trophy Truck platforms and will work with tires up to 40” tall. The hand shaped body was carved out of foam on the #50 FiberwerX Trophy Truck. Here are the listed specifications:

- Nose Track Width = 90” (front flare)
- Wheelbase = 120”-130” (designed for adjust ability)

Our new body system is modeled after a 2009 Ford F-150 Truck prototype vehicle. The grille, light, bumper valance, and cab closely matches the next Ford full-sized pickup. Our version features contours and bodylines that match the existing configuration, a slightly raised cowl for carbureted engines, easy visibility over the nose of the front clip, reverse scoops for stylish & aggressive body lines.

Our team designed several versions of the new 2009 Body on paper with skilled hand renderings. We collaborated on all aspects of the body considering input from Trophy Truck Drivers and the prep crew. The revised sample was then scanned for computer illustration and color simulations. We then submitted the rendering for another round of feedback.

The final product is solid and guaranteed to fit with proper installation. We recommend and specify using aircraft latching fasteners, stainless steel hardware, and machined fender washers.

For more information contact FiberwerX directly. We are entertaining custom projects, modifications, request, and 1-OFF requirements.

03/21 - FiberwerX TT BITD TT250 Results

FiberwerX Crew just made it back into town after another race weekend. We had a blast competing at the 2008 BITD Terribles Town 250 at Primm Valley Resort & Casino.

Team FiberwerX Drivers; Brandon and TK McNeil split driving duties in the #34 FiberwerX Racing Trick Truck. This event featured over 225 race entries and 20 Trick Trucks in the class. Brandon McNeil, the driver of record drew rear start position putting the truck behind the entire division.

The race strategy called for a steady pace to pick off the class field one by one while staying conservative and preserving the truck for the final 80 mile dash to the finish. Every lap of the 84-mile course went smoothly till TK McNeil steered deep inside a corner to make a pass and received a right rear flat after striking a large rock commonly found in the Nevada desert. The Toyo Tire was quickly replaced with a brand new Toyo spare and TK flew through the rest of the lap till the truck experienced a cooling issue. At Pit 2 JuanCO let the truck cool for 20 minutes. This seems like a lot but in offroad racing, anything can happen, so miles are maid up in minutes with quick driving and picking smart lines.

The #34 FiberwerX Trick Truck placed 11th in class and 48th overall. We are really excited about finishing this race and nearly placing in the top 10. After two races down and the rest of the season to go, FiberwerX is pumped and ready to earn our top spot on the podium at the next event.

The Toyo Tires provided dominant traction & performance throughout the various terrains. The Fox Shoxs allowed us to fly by the competition while they were breaking for the rougher technical sections. Rockstar Energy kept our crew vigilant and pumped even through several all nighters. Most importantly the DJ Safety components worked perfectly keeping our drivers safe and secure strapped in.

Make sure to check out some photos on our myspace and sponosorhouse profiles.
